Young keeper Shane Supple has signed a three-year deal with the club. Supple, 18, made his first team debut as a sub at Leicester earlier this season and his first start in the home game with Sheffield Wednesday a week later.

Supple, who was recently released from the Ireland U19 squad to continue as Lewis Price's deputy with Town, told the club site: "I'm really happy here and delighted to sign for another three years.

"The coaching here is first class and I really feel at home. Now I want to push on and try and challenge Lewis for the first team shirt.

"I'm lucky to be on the bench at 18, you won't get that at many clubs, but Ipswich has had a long tradition for giving young players a chance.

"I've been involved with the first team all season and I have really enjoyed that, but obviously in time I want to be number one at this club at some stage."
