Out of favour David Johnson is now being linked with a possible loan move to Burnley. According to Lancashire sources the Division One side have enquired about the availability of the player, but nothing has happened beyond that.

Burley are managed by Stan Ternent a man who is certainly aware of Johnson's talents. Ternent was Johnson's manager at Bury from whom he joined Town for £1.1 million in 1997.

Johnson has failed to score in the League for Town this season and seems to appear in transfer rumours more than he appears in the team these days. Last week it was claimed that Manchester City had put in a £4 million offer for the striker, however this died when City signed Darren Huckerby from Leeds.
