Morecambe Squad and News

Tonw have no new injury worries for the match at Morecambe. Richard Naylor and John Scales remain on the sidelines, but Wayne Brown travels for the first time in a while after his troublesome groin problem cleared up.

Full squad: R Wright, Branagan, Salmon, Wilnis, Clapham, Croft, Karic, Brown, Hreidarsson, McGreal, Bramble, Holland, Magilton, J Wright, Reuser, Scowcroft, Stewart, Johnson and Armstrong.

The Premiership team vs Non-Leaguers nature of the game demands lots of silly coverage from the media. Already we have had Morecambe players sitting all over tractors, but Saturday's TV brings even more wackiness. Apparently Morecambe players will star in a couple of Morecambe and Wise musical sketches for Football Focus (striker Ryan Zico Black as Andre Previn we're told) while On The Ball takes a slightly more sober look at things with a feature on Jim Magilton and Jim Harvey. Harvey spends his time as Northern Ireland coach while Magilton is of course a stalwart for the Ulstermen.

TWTD has spoken to Morecambe fans who recommend the York Hotel or the Chieftain for pre-match drinks and chats with the home fans. Michael Gibson, a 'Morecambe Exile', the people behind their fanzine Gazetta De La Shrimp, also recommends a number of clubs in Lancaster for the weekending Town fan: "Try Liquid or Elemental if your young enough to get in, Brooks for the more mature and the Warehouse if you want something to remind you of a tractor shed."

See you in Warehouse!
