Town's reserves fell to a 2-0 defeat against Southampton at their Staplewood training ground on Tuesday night. First half goals from Feliciano Condesso and David McGoldrick gave the Saints their victory in snowy and freezing conditions.

Adam Proudlock, Billy Clarke and substitute Kieran Leabon all went close to scoring for the Blues, while central defenders Gerard Nash and Russell Short were the pick of Town's young side. Woodbridge Town keeper Marcus Garnham, deputising for Lewis Price who is with the Wales squad, also put in an impressive display.

Reserves: Garnham, Moore, Nash, Short, Ainsley (Webster 85), Skard, Lordan, Trotter, Knights, Proudlock (Leabon 46), Clarke. Unused: Sheringham, Nimmo.
