Boss Joe Royle has revealed that striker Alan Lee wouldn't have played at Preston had today's game gone ahead. However, defender Fabian Wilnis and midfielder Jimmy Juan would both have been in contention for a place in the line-up at Deepdale.

Royle says that the extra week will give Lee more of a chance of facing Millwall at Portman Road next Saturday: "We would not have risked Alan at Preston as his hamstring is still not fully healed. We now have another week and that will help."

The Blues will be without loanee Ricardo Fuller for the game against the Lions as the Jamaican will be serving his one-match ban for receiving five yellow cards before the end of February. From now until the end of the season, a player picking up a fifth booking will merely receive a warning as to their future conduct.

Meanwhile, Royle says he has nothing more from Oldham regarding their interest in Jim Magilton beyond last month's enquiry reported earlier in the week.
