Striker Alan Lee is Town's only injury doubt ahead of Saturday's home game with Millwall. A final decision on the Irishman's fitness could be made as late as Saturday.

Lee has been out of action since slightly tearing his hamstring at Crewe last month. He is back in training with the first team but boss Joe Royle says they won't take a risk: "He's a lot better than he was last week, but with hamstrings you have to wait and see. It will probably be Saturday morning before we make a decision because it's always the reaction to a hamstring which is the problem."

Adam Proudlock has joined fellow striker Nicky Forster and midfielder Gavin Williams on the sidelines for the rest of the season after undergoing a knee operation. Royle says that no decision has yet been made on whether the former Sheffield Wednesday man will remain with the club when his contract is up at the end of the season.

Better news is that Jimmy Juan and Fabian Wilnis have trained all week after groin and knee problems, while winger Jaime Peters is also back training after the knee problem he sustained at Wolves three weeks ago. Sam Parkin is progressing again after having had a slight setback in his recovery from his broken ankle.

Loanee striker Ricardo Fuller is suspended for one game after reaching five bookings for the season on his goal-scoring debut against Leicester.

Defender Jay McEveley is continuing his recuperation after his medial knee ligament problem but was not included in the squad for last week's postponed game at Preston as originally thought. The loanee from Blackburn was named in the travelling party but only as he was going back to the North-West on the Town coach to see his family and was not in consideration for the game.

The England U21 international is not in Royle's thoughts for the Millwall match and is around a month and a couple of reserve games away from first team action.

Shane Supple has now established himself as Town's regular keeper with the back four of Fabian Wilnis, Richard Naylor, Jason De Vos and Scott Barron practically picking itself since Christmas, except when injury and Naylor's employment as a striker have intervened.

Royle faces selection dilemmas in midfield with Juan returning. However, three games in the space of a week are likely to see changes of personnel at various stages, with most of Juan, Jim Magilton, Ian Westlake, Matt Richards, Ian Westlake, Darren Currie and Owen Garvan all probably starting at some point.

Up front, Lee, if fit, is likely to be partnered by Danny Haynes, only recently back from an ankle injury, with one of the duo likely to be replaced with Dean McDonald at some point in the second half. If Lee doesn't make it, Darren Currie will probably play his position between Haynes and the midfield four.

Royle says that despite their lowly position, the Lions will be a difficult proposition and he is not yet looking to the play-off six-pointers with Preston and Crystal Palace: "I don't want to think too far beyond it. Everyone is saying, 'It's Millwall, get that out the way and then...', but it's not so simple. It's a tough game, they're fighting for their lives and I still think they have a great chance of getting out of it."

Former Blue Andy Marshall makes a return to Portman Road with the Lions, while Wolves midfielder Colin Cameron recently joined on loan. Striker Barry Haynes is back after a lengthy injury absence and is expected to be on the bench.

Joe Royle's men will have to wary of striker Ben May who has scored a third of his nine league goals for Millwall against the Blues, including a 25-yard stunner in Town's 2-1 win at the Den in August.

Saturday's referee is Brian Curson from Leicestershire who was last at Portman Road for the Blues' 4-0 home defeat to Preston early in the season. Curson, who awarded Town a controversial late penalty for a foul on Jim Magilton against Reading on the opening day of 2003/04, has shown 86 yellow and six red cards in 35 games this season.
