Both Academy Sides Lose Sunday, 12th Mar 2006 22:26 Town's U18 and U16 sides were both defeated 3-1 by Aston Villa at Playford Road on Saturday morning. Stuart Ainsley scored the goal for the U18s. Charlton central defender Lawrie Wilson, currently on trial with the Blues, was impressive for the U18s, while midfielder Edward Upson was again Town's stand-out player. Wilson, 18, is a former pupil of Millfield School and can run 100m in less than 11 seconds. Although primarily a defender, the Colliers Row-born player can also play a number of other positions. TWTD understands that academy full-back or midfielder Sammy Moore has been offered a one-year professional contract. U18s: Pétursson, Webster, Wilson, Haverson, Robinson, Upson, Nimmo, Reason, Ainsley, Leabon, Rhodes. Subs: Plummer, Boto, Hermansson, Casement, Williams.
