Striker Nicky Forster is back in training and could play for the reserves against West Ham on Friday. The 32-year-old underwent the second of two cartilage operations last month, having previously gone under the surgeon's knife in August.

Physio Dave Williams told the club site: "Fozzie is doing very well and returned to full training this morning.

"He has worked hard on his rehab and is very positive about the way things are going at the moment.

"It's possible that he may play some part of the reserves match against West Ham on Friday night, it will be down to how he reacts to training over the next few days.

"It's probably more likely that he will have a run-out next week though, which will give him more time to get some training under his belt before he is put into a match situation.

"He's very upbeat about his recovery now and is desperate to get back as soon as possible."

Forster has made 14 starts and two sub appearances since joining Town on a free transfer in the summer and has scored three goals.

Friday's reserve match is being played at Needham Market's Bloomfields (KO 7pm) with the first team game against Hull at Portman Road the following afternoon.
