Boss Joe Royle says that the club are yet to receive any firm interest in released striker Dean McDonald. Last week, the former Arsenal trainee was told he will be surplus to requirements at Portman Road next season.

Royle says a number of clubs have made enquiries regarding the 20-year-old: "A few people have been asking questions. Colchester, Boston and Blackpool have all shown some sort of interest, but he hasn't had anything solid yet for next year."

Defender Scott Mitchell, also set to leave in the summer, has also received no firm offers. Boston have been linked but their presence at reserve games recently is likely to have been due to their interest in McDonald.

Contrary to reports earlier in the week, the Blues will continue to play reserve matches at Portman Road next season, although they will also use local non-league grounds and Playford Road.

Town and other Football League sides are being excluded from the FA Premier Reserve League (South) from next season, with a new East Anglian reserve league expected to be set-up over the summer.
