George Burley watched Manchester United's reserve side beat Bradford 3-2 on Tuesday night. It is not clear who George was specifically looking at but speculation is suggesting the player in question was either Mark Wilson or Michael Stewart.

The Town boss admitted his interest in the game, but kept schtum over the identity of his target: "I saw the United reserves game at Bradford. You have to continually look at the position of improving the squad. I'm always looking and it was interesting to cast an eye over young players on view."

Both players are midfielders, an area Town are keen to strengthen. Wilson has made just one League appearance (plus two sub) for Manchester United with another five (one sub) in other competitions. He is 21 and has also had a spell at Wrexham where he played 17 games scoring six goals.

Michael Stewart has recently been on loan at Royal Antwerp as part of an arrangement the two clubs have. He is a 19-year-old Scot who has made just two sub appearances in the Worthington Cup for Alex Ferguson's side.

Meanwhile discussions between Hassan Kachloul and Southampton seeme to be continuing. Town have an offer on the table for the Moroccan but there seem to be no developments. George Burley continues to say nothing on the identity of the player he is targeting but says he is expecting to hear something in the next few days.
