Kachloul Demands Unrealistic
Kachloul Demands Unrealistic

It looks as though Hassan Kachloul is certainly on his way from Southampton as his demands have been branded "unrealistic" by Saints' chairman Rupert Lowe. Talks have been going on since Wednesday with Southampton keen to keep the Moroccan.

Lowe said: "These have been difficult negotiations and, as things stand, the demands made are unrealistic. His representatives came in with a salary demand that is massively outside our existing pay structure and we are not prepared to break that. The matter rests with Hassan. It depends whether he is reasonable as to whether he stays with us."

Town have a bid tabled for Kachloul, but other clubs like Spurs and Coventry are also both thought to be interested in signing him. However, if his wage demands are as high as Rupert Lowe claims then Town may lose interest in him.

The re-arranged Worthington Cup semi-final between Town and Birmingham will not be shown live on Sky. Many fans had hoped that the game would get live TV coverage now that the game doesn't clash with the other semi-final. However, Sky have confirmed that this will not be the case.

Town have cut the price for the FA Youth Cup match with Crystal Palace on Monday. Entry is now £2 for adults and £1 for children.

The club have also announced the date and venue of the away reserve match against Wimbledon. The game will be on Wednesday 24th January, (KO 7.30pm) at Sutton United's ground, Gander Green Lane, presumably in Sutton.
