Duo May Still Be Targets
Duo May Still Be Targets

New first team coach Bryan Klug says former Blues Tommy Miller and Jamie Clapham could still be Town targets during the close season. Former boss Joe Royle confirmed that the duo were on his summer wish-list before leaving the club last month.

Klug said: “Jamie Clapham and Tommy Miller are good players and we are interested in bringing good players to the club.

“Whether they are realistic targets or not, depending on the finances involved, is another matter. But there is no doubt that to have them available to us would strengthen our team.”

Clapham is available on a free transfer after being released by Birmingham and is likely to interest a number of Championship clubs, several able to pay better wages than Town.

Miller has a year left on his Sunderland contract but could be allowed to leave for a small fee or even on a free as the Black Cats downsize after relegation, although wages may again be an issue.
