Breaking news this evening says that Hassan Kachloul has turned town the latest contract offered to him by the south coast club. It remains to be seen whether George Burley will try to tempt the Moroccan to Town, given that the Southampton Chairman, Rupert Lowe, described his demands as "unrealistic".

Tottenham are also interested in the player, with David Pleat their Directoy of Football saying "He is one of several players whose situations we are monitoring". Hassan is out of contract at the end of the season and the Hampshire club may wish to cash in on the transfer.
