McGreal Won't Miss the Final

John McGreal has received some good news, learning that he won't miss out on the Worthington Cup final should Town make it. It was thought that his period of suspension would be three games and that it would cover the Cardiff game, but it has been confirmed that it won't and lasts for only two matches.

He misses out on the Leeds United game at home and the Arsenal away game unless Saturday's game is a draw in which case he misses the replay with Sunderland.

Richard Naylor returns to the Town squad tomorrow after recovering from his broken leg. Bam Bam would have liked a few more reserve games, but the weather meant that Wednesday's against Wimbledon was postponed.

Mark Venus has returned to training after his thigh injury and is in contention for a place in defence. Full squad later today.

David Sheepshanks has again outlined the importance of Town staying up. The Town chairman said that the turnover next season will be £40 million, almost doubling this year's and just about quadrupling the figures when Town were in the First Division.

Sheepshanks was speaking to Jimmy Hill on Sky TV on Wednesday and revealed that he feels Town need another three points to be sure of Prmiership status next season. He re-iterated his intention for Town to get better as each year goes along, while Jimmy admitted that he had a soft-spot for Town. Bloody glory hunters, all starting to come out of the woodwork!
