A Sunday tabloid claims Town have had a £400,000 bid for QPR midfielder Marc Bircham turned down. Bircham is a Canada team-mate of Jason De Vos and Jaime Peters.

Chief executive Derek Bowden's meeting with Ipswich Town Ist has switched to Tuesday, 6th September. The meeting, where Bowden has agreed to answer fans' questions, has moved due to the home reserve fixture with Arsenal subsequently being set for the original date, the Monday of the same week.

Reports over the weekend claim a mystery investor was at Portman Road on Saturday to watch the Blues defeat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1. The story emerged just a day after chairman David Sheepshanks indicated that he and chief executive Derek Bowden are actively looking for investors to lend a hand with the club's still difficult financial situation.
