Town have two players in the England U19 squad for the international against Germany at Portman Road on February 14th. Darren Bent and Matt Bloomfield are both in a strong squad named by Martin Hunter.

Town defender Titus Bramble is again being linked with a move to Newcastle United. The 20-year-old England U21 international is reportedly set to become a £6 million target of Bobby Robson according to tabloid reports this morning.

Essex County Cricket coach Graham Gooch is seeking Town's advice on team spirit. The former England captain is a West Ham fan, but felt that Ipswich's team spirit was well worthy of investigation. Last season the Essex dressing room was not a harmonious place.

Reports this morning claim that Town are to take Cypriot defender Petros Konnafis on trial with a possibilty that he may become a permanent signing. Konnafis is 22 and plays for Omonia Nicosia at present.
