Naysmith In Tue 05th Sep 2000 13:27
Town may be ready to swwop for Hearts star Gary Naysmith after the full-back turned down a new contract with the Edinburgh club. Now he is willing to listen to offers and Town could be one of the sides at the head of the queue. Jeffries said: "The present financial climate at the club means we cannot meet Gary's requirements. Gary has two years left on his current contract, and we have had talks about the possibility of topping up the deal within a couple of years."
