Town visit bogey side Watford tonight looking to end their extraordinary run of 15 games without a victory over the Hornets (KO 7.45pm). Manager Paul Jewell and his assistant Chris Hutchings will be hoping their side carries on where it left off at the end of Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Blackburn.

The ITFC Charitable Trust’s Big Zip at Portman Road has been rearranged for Saturday 15th September and is a great chance to raise funds for your chosen charity. Monsoon conditions caused the event to be postponed when it was originally scheduled last month. There is a £50 booking fee to secure a slot on the zip, while there is a £45 per person booking fee for group bookings of 10 or more. There will be a prize for the best fancy dress costume.

Striker Steve Davies says Town continued to show interest in him right up to him signing for Bristol City yesterday, but he felt the proposed switch was taking too long and that Derby County didn’t want to do a deal with the Blues. Town had been in negotiations with the Rams regarding the 24-year-old since May but without being able to agree a fee.
