Regarding Stevenson, I dont understand why we need to 'terminate' his contract. Surely if another team want him, we dont want a fee, and the player wants to go, then he can go on a 'free transfer'?
Terminating his contract will surely involve some cost for ITFC (legal costs etc), even if Stevenson doesnt want a pay off?
Also similar situation with Bullard to MK Dons, if the reason he left was because he really wanted first team football, then why couldnt he go on a free transfer, as opposed to us giving him a big pay off then MK Dons picking him up for free?
I understand terminating contracts for Peters / Healy etc, if no other club is willing to take them on a free
Correct me if i'm missing something... |
