 | Forum Thread | Why did the public vote in Maggie 3 times at 10:48 11 Apr 2013
I see all this anto Maggie comments but the public voted for her 3 times, if it was so bad why did they? I've nver understood that, if she was so bad why did the public vote for her? Maybe it's when you're my age you remember sitting at home 2 nights a week with candles because the power workers were on strike. No TV, no TWTD for two nights a week. The constant train strikes, we never had as many cars then I hated catching that bus from Stowmarket to Ipswich, although the bus drivers often went on strike at the same time She wasn't perfect, but don't forget she changed many thinsg for the better |
 | Forum Thread | Why did we have a minutes silence for Matthew Harding at 18:36 10 Apr 2013
But we won't for Maggie? Why did a rich Chelsea Director result in all clubs having a minutes silence but not a former Prime Minister? Yes I understand why Chelsea did but why Ipswich and the other clubs I’ve always felt that was the day football sold it's sole to money |
 | Forum Thread | I don't understand all the fuss at 10:25 24 Jan 2013
Ballboys at every club waste time when their team is winning with only 10-15 minutes to go. It's been part of football for the last 30 years Hazard should know that, he lost it, he kicked out, he should get banned |
 | Forum Thread | I don't understand all the fuss over child benefit at 18:40 7 Jan 2013
Although I don't understand why we even have child benefit It's not as if having kids is an illness. When the missus and I had kids we didn't sit there and say is there enough benefit so we can have kids? Surely if you want kids you have them you shouldn't expect others to help pay for them. The Gov should have kept it simple and stopped all Child benefit. The bloke next door has cancer he doesn't get any benefit for that. The Gov didn't say for the first tumor (if you don't earn over £50k) you get this much, for the second tumor you get this... |
 | Forum Thread | So McCarthy's style of play at 15:41 31 Dec 2012
The anti McCarthy brigade claimed we would play boring football, not the famous Ipswich way. To be honest if he avoided relegation I wasn’t bothered what style of football we played But I've been to a few games since McCarthy became manager and we play nice one touch football, tying to move the ball will pace, down the wings sometimes and very rarely a long ball. So is McCarthy just playing that style for now and will revert to the perceived style he operates in with boring long ball? |
