Town have agreed a five-year stadium pouring rights deal with Southwold brewers Adnams. The agreement is the biggest of its type in the club's history and sees Adnams take over from Greene King.

Chief executive Simon Clegg says the deal, which includes Carlsberg as a partner, shows the club keeping to its Suffolk roots: "During such a dynamic time in the history of our football club, we are delighted to announce this partnership with Adnams.

"Once again it shows our commitment and determination to work, wherever possible, with local companies. The partnership is committed to optimise the benefits of two such iconic brands within the region and will come alive through a range of exciting new initiatives for fans and customers alike.”

Adnams managing director Andy Wood added: "It's fantastic news to have Adnams beers available at Ipswich Town Football Club. Both Adnams and Ipswich Town are at the heart of Suffolk life and it seems a perfect fit for us to work together.

"We want this partnership to be more than simply having beer in the bars; our aim is to work with the club on a variety of projects to develop our commitment to the local community.”

Clegg thanked Greene King for their work with the club: "While looking forward to a successful working relationship with Adnams over the next five years, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Greene King for their support over recent years.”
