Shittu Says No To Blades?

Town target Danny Shittu has turned down a loan move to Sheffield United as he wants to remain in the Premier League, according to one tabloid report this morning. The Blues and the Blades are both chasing the 29-year-old Bolton Wanderers central defender.

Shittu is said to have decided to remain at the Reebok Stadium in order to prove himself with the Premier League strugglers after a three-month loan move to Bramall Lane had been agreed by the clubs. However, reports elsewhere claim the former QPR and Watford defender is still making up his mind on where he wants to go.

Previously, Newcastle, Barnsley, Portsmouth and Colchester have also been linked with the 6ft 3in tall defender.

TractorRoyNo1 added 11:37 - Sep 17 Much could depend on where his house and heart is, if for example his partner and home are still near Watford he might fancy moving back 'down south' if however he has moved to near Bolton then a short trip across the Pennines to Sheffield is most likely.

I don't get why any CB would want to come to PR given the treatment of Gareth McAuley by sections of the Crowd, and indeed the Club with the Wanted/Not Wanted approach. . . I've a faint hope that Shittu will come, but then there's still GIO COYB - Supporting Town Whatever the Result!
