Pim Set for Brentford Return
Sat 31st Jul 2010 09:23

Released Town defender Pim Balkestein appears set to sign a three-year deal with Brentford, according to his girlfriend’s Facebook page. Balkestein left the Blues at the end of the season and recently spent time on trial in Germany with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

That seems to have come to nothing with his girlfriend announcing her departure for west London via her Facebook page on Thursday: "Probably leaving Holland in the next two weeks, and then we'll be living in Brentford for the next three years."

The Dutch central defender, who has been spotted in Ipswich on a number of occasions in the last fortnight, has been training with the Bees, with whom he spent time on loan last season.

Facebook?! Deary me, what has the world come too - WAG's announing deals before the players / clubs! Anyone got Chopra's girlfriends facbook page?!!!!

Good luck to Pim, but Brentford is about his level. He's not a championship player and IMO Roy was right to release him.

Best of Luck Pim... it's a pity it didn't work out as you did show promise... But I think RK was right to let you go.

Good Luck Pim, never given enough time for a young player, personally thought he would/will make a great forward, a kinda Richard naylor in reverse!!

Not really good enough for our league, which is why he always seemed so at home with the rest of the squad.
