U18s Lose to Arsenal
U18s Lose to Arsenal
Saturday, 13th Nov 2010 16:05

Town’s U18s fell to a 3-1 home defeat to Arsenal at Playford Road on Saturday morning.

Caolan Lavery netted for the Blues, while Alban Bunjaku netted a hat-trick for the visitors. The U16s lost 3-0 to the same opposition, also at home.

Meanwhile, we understand the Blues were represented at last Monday's Arsenal-Everton reserves game, which the Gunners won 4-1.

Town boss Roy Keane has been considering adding a loan attacker to his squad and former Blackpool and Doncaster loanee Jay Emmanuel-Thomas will have impressed with his two goals. Gilles Sunu, who was on loan at Derby last season, was also involved.

U18s: Cropper, Acott (October 66), Maduako (Lawrence 72), Whight, McKeown, Jones, Burke, Scotcher (Winter 60), Carson, Tiofack, Lavery. Unused: Simmons, O’Donnell.

Sounded like a good performance- if not result!
Well done Caolan- keep it up and you will be joining the first team soon. People keep running out of superlatives to say about how well you play.
Definately our Kinkladze and our secret weapon next season!
Sounded like good games for Maduako, Carson and McKeown also....
By the way,-Who is Alban Bunjaku and can we sign him???

We were unlucky. Could / should have had 2 pens. It came down to taking chances. Arsenal took theirs, we squandered ours, (Sound familiar?) But there are some good prospects amongst this group.
