Balcony Tickets for UEFA Cup Celebration Now On Sale
Friday, 20th May 2011 22:20

Balcony tickets are now available for the after-meal presentations at the gala dinner celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Blues' 1981 UEFA Cup win at the Town Hall on May 30th.

Town legends John Wark, Paul Mariner, George Burley, Paul Cooper, Russell Osman, Eric Gates and Frans Thijssen have already confirmed their attendance at the event with other members of Sir Bobby Robson’s team and the UEFA Cup itself also expected to be present.

The night will feature an auction with prizes including signed footballs from the 1981 team and the chance to win an executive box for 10 at a Town game next season.

Legendary local broadcaster Stuart Jarrold will be hosting the evening and will be interviewing all of the players after the meal.

Balcony tickets for the presentations, which start at 9pm and will go on until 11.30pm, cost £30 and are available from the box office at the Ipswich Regent here.

Tickets are still available for the dinner itself for £100. Any profits from the evening will go to the ITFC Charitable Trust.

ME ought to reward regular match goers with free entry to recompense them for the shocking seasons just past.
£30 to sit & stare at some ex players (albeit legends and worth their status) is appaling..............................

stiffy - just a quick comment - I dont think this is arraned by ITFC directly but i maybe wrong - All profits go to the ITFC charitable trusts so its a good cause and , if by regular match goers you are talking season ticket holders and thats not including on the day, you will need a seriously big balcony!!

Indeed the club are helping to stage this event but not profiting. It is to celebrate the 1981 victory and give the players a great night too. Ticket sales targeted to break even and auction etc looking to raise money for the trust. The Star and EADT will both have £5 off ticket prices soon but there are only 150 to sell. There will be a full stage set and a full two hour show. At £25 with the voucher it is a unique chance (and maybe the last) to see all of these players together.
