If Utd, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs or possibly Newcastle/Villa were looking and came in for him I'd get it and if he went it would be gutting but best wishes. Brighton are an excellent football club and a bit further down the road then is. But they are a club we are capable of overtaking so I hope he stays. They are similar to Palace for me. |

I think you could. However the suggestion he has made a out her managing at the highest level is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. She's managed at the highest level of women's football which is a good level and getting better by the day. It's not close to several leagues in the men's football and that is reality currently. It will change. |

I feel like you might be looking to start as sexism row. The reality is she hasn't managed at the required level. It would be a complete punt and I'd be completely against a punt for my football team. There are men and Women managing the top level of the female game and I wouldn't take any of them until they have a body of work at a higher level. I'm loving seeing the women's game grow and I think there may come a time when the levels (coaching wise) will be similar and there will be much more cross polunation. It's not the case now as much as it would be great if it was. You will probably make the point that McKenna hadn't managed at any level but he had been coaching at the very top level for a long time. Specifically in Hayes I've found some of her recent behaviour appalling. Physically shoving a other manager whilst claiming they themselves were aggressive in en environment that could get him the sack was completely not in keeping with the culture of the club I want. If the shoe was on the other foot and that manager had shoved her he wouldn't work in the game again. Do I think I'll Hayes could work in men's football Yes. Do I think in the champ or Prem. Not yet. Do I think we'll see a female manager in the top division. Yes and if she does well it will be fantastic! I think you'd set the chances of women getting top jobs in men's football back if you do a stunt like this. Assuming the levels currently would translate 'because she'll have male players" is unbelievably naive. [Post edited 19 May 14:14]

I would say they are the definition of a team who has reached their ceiling. I would be surprised if McKenna goes there. They are not a Villa, Spurs, Newcastle etc who would be much more concerning. They are still more established then is so there is still a risk! |

He was a really young lad with ambition and we were an absolute basket case. A premier league side comes in. If it's you or your kid do you honestly think we were the best thing for him at that point. He never gave less than his best in a town shirt in my opinion. I've never got any sense he's a bad apple and managers always seem to love his attitude to the game. Downes wears his heart on sleeve and is honest. I think he struggled with that situation when palace came in. Who on here made perfect decisions and responses when they were 20 FFS!? |

It's not impossible we spend £20 million on a player. But you just made a transfer up. Not sure what you are getting out of random made up guesses |

I mean you could provide the context and phrase that all through a different lens...but yes that's him. I'd take him. Excellent player. |

I'm also enjoying them but am I missing something here. Is there something clever going on...or is this artist just really bad but because they come out funny he's now 'acclaimed'. You get paintings like this in every school art class. Brilliantly funny but actually being credited as good art?! Is it really deliberate. Genuine question. Like has this dude painted good paintings as well? |

I'd see it as Substantially easier then the one just gone. Leicester, us and Leeds or Southampton up most likely. Luton, Sheffield Utd and Burnley are a downgrade on those going up for sure. They might make playoffs again if they get the right manager. But don't see them going up |

He's not a championship striker. On the decline now but probably a decent option for Rotherham. Wasn't getting much game time at Peterborough. They'd move on. |

Phil is old school but he's also tactically astute (certainly not same style as McKenna). He's also a people person despite the shouting. In professional sport there is always a place for a bit of shouting and motivation in that way. It certainly can't be the only or primary tool in the toolbox though! |

Imagine he'll stay Midlands and go to Villa or Leicester most likely. |

Great interview, great guy |

This is all a bit tinpot in my opinion. He's a bit of a lemon but couldn't care less about Don Goodman. Think he's just generally not great rather than having it in for Ipswich. The main commentator brought up Rowe in the Derby and I actually think Don didn't take the bait and stayed clear of it. Let's move on. Continuing a weird feud with a sky Pundit or sky coverage isn't a great idea. |

Because he's a very good player and I'm not going to hold it against him wanting to better himself when we were in L1 going nowhere under Evans. That's when the issue happened. Then the bomb squad thing happened. It's gone now. We're a completely different team. And he's a player that would do very well and I believe give everything for the cause. I'd go Sheaf over Downes still just about. |

He's a very good player. I'd take him and Sargeant. Rowe has been with them years and too much Norwich in him now. |
