I think we should see the Transfer Window differently. Save the cash that we'd have given to a spolit, journeyman flouncer - and his agent - and recruit/train young players who actually appreciate where they are in life, who can grow up as good footballers and as good people and who ENJOY playing football, so we can ENJOY watching football again. We don't want 'guaranteed success', just local kids playing passing football, flashes of class, an ambition to score more goals than the opposition, a will to win, a friendly Portman Road atmosphere, reasonable ticket prices (just ask other clubs) and a feeling of belonging. None of those can be bought today. | |
