Last year some old gal i know from the pub said she wanted a new fence and a load of shrubs dug out as they looked a mess.
So i went around there for a look,the fence was okish just needed a lick of stain and a bit of a tidy up (somebody had already been around and told her she needed a new fence)..
The shrubs were ok and i cut them back into shape,and now it looks beautiful.
Turns out this poor old girl already has a gardener,she pays her a couple of hours a week EVERY WEEK,the gardener never tells the lady when she is going round,she just turns up when the old girl goes out takes the money and goes again..
Apparently she doesnt do shrubs or weeding or much of anything by the look of it ! | |

I usually like putting the extra hour in to even everything out between the paths and the edge of the grass. I have a few things I do to make it look dead straight all the way from the root. Removes possibility of excessive weeding if done on the grass to dirt side too.
I always like to make it look pretty even if it takes longer. Nice to take pride in doing up a garden innit | |

It really used to annoy Lady B as we would have to carry them back to the Pub we were staying in,and start our walk again !
