So you're Mick

Do you...... get as many players in and work with them

or has Mick's doing, giving some time off.

I'm caught. Will a break do anygood or should they be in, drilled hard and put some effort in.........

what would you do?

You do both. A few days off is fine. They're people too. And they're already putting plenty of effort in.

Yes. Unsatisfactory results don't have to equate to unsatisfactory effort. There are many variables to study — as someone with your experience in the football industry will know.

My view on this is that the first team squad should come under another coach while MM & his preferred crew go dow the pub to try & decide what went wrong & why.

Yes but I genuinely don't think they are putting the effort in.

So many goals we've conceded due to no one tracking runners etc. that to me is a lack of urgency and effort not formation or skillset

Yes i agree the effort or lack off isnt in question but certainly shape and deciphering a system of playing is but lets face it he isnt going to sort it out now as he has had all season to do something and hasnt been able too so screw it give them all the week off as he has done and go again next monday.

It is also worth looking at record after an international break, my guess it would be pretty mediocre. He is a massive fan off giving the staff the week off when there is a two week break where as others who are actually challenging for stuff are in for double sessions, horses for courses i guess or donkeys in our case.

It's not lack of effort, it's lack of quality.

He might as well let them have some time off, whatever he's telling them to do in training obviously isn't working.

Those out for International duties are now injured. Our best young and upcoming youth players are on International duty or on loan to other clubs. What have we got left to train?
Bart
Spence, Chambers, Smith, Knudsen
Ward, Skuse, Huws, Rowe
Moore, Pitman/Sears

Oddly enough I'd take that 11 to start the next match - esp with injuries up front.
Moore on the bench obviously.

Doubt Mcgoldrick and lawrence will still be injured when the next game comes around and like Mick said no one is getting ahead of Lawrence and Mcgoldrick when they are playing well together.
