Question for the TWTD Tories here. 12:37 - Apr 21 with 14446 viewsmonytowbray

Can you give me any legit reasons for a 29 year old non-home owner in the middle-upper half of the basic rate tax bracket to vote for May in June?

Economic stability and continued growth.
May would negotiate a much more advantageous (for the UK) Brexit deal than Corbyn.
Basic security of the country, Corbyn would cut the military to the bone at a very unstable and dangerous time.
Taxing people to excess stifles enterprise.
Corbyn's spending plans are insane.
Just look at Corbyn, I wouldn't trust him to run a bath let alone a country.

How's all that going to help him buy a house of his own?

In a growing and stable economy he will be more likely to be able to save enough money to get a mortgage. Interest rates will remain stable meaning he will have certainty over repayments.

I think you live a different life to me mate, enconomic growth alone isn't the reason I can't get a house.

You will pay more tax and, particularly considering your career path, you will face much stronger competition for work if you vote in a more liberal party. You wont get any benefits from them in return either.

£10 minimum wage

I trust them more with the NHS

They won't cut our foreign aid budget

They will do far more to help people get on the housing ladder

They will nationalise the railways.

Truly impaired.

I am very much in the real world. I'm 30 and bought my first house last year (no help from parents or anyone else).

told you earlier, he'll sell our nuclear weapons, we'll get invaded and the houses will be full of radiation.

I thought the Tories were already promising a £10 min wage?

The NHS needs to be funded by private medical insurance and no party wants to be responsible for delivering that.

What do you want to cut instead of foreign aid?

If they guarantee to build a decent number of homes in their first term (im talking around 1,000,000 homes) then I'll give you that. They won't though, they will just increase the population by another 4 million.

They won't nationalise the railways. They can't afford to.

Not at all, I don't know him. I was merely explaining how I got on to the property ladder being a similar age to him.
