Hate is not a useful emotion. It blinds people and leads them to irrational acts. I'm sure the terrorist's hatred was well stirred up before he took a bomb to murder a load of innocent children. I don't want to be operating in that fashion.
Better to stick with a grim, but rational determination to defeat these people, break up their networks, counter the propaganda and to prevent such things happening again.

I shared the same kinda thoughts with our little whatsapp group yesterday.
My FB page is a heady mix of right wing xenophobia spiced with an Enoch Powell quote versus features on Muslim taxi drivers getting people away safely and Sikh shopkeepers providing free refreshments to vigil attendees.
Deeper analysis showed that the right xenophobic's tend to be chaps I've played footy with over the many years. |  |

I think we should be a bit more tolerant.
People like Taximan and Benters need to be surrounded by people who think and act the same way they do.
They just need a safe space, so they don't melt.
We just have to understand, that because of their particular needs, they happen to need quite a big space, and lots of similar people around them to feel safe, and a large moat. | | | |

The video of him on St. George's day with some woman and a bloke. The three of them walking through a Muslim community handing out leaflets trying to antagonise, handing out crosses, blocking people off to question them on why they are Muslims.
It's wrong and out of order and people sharing it and other sh1t like that makes me annoyed. And disappointed in humanity that people could have that much hate as to go along with his sick ideas. |  |
