1) Larsen Toure's corner. That was quite simply a thing of beauty.

2) Piotr Malarcyk. The Polish Ali Dia.

3) Jon Walters reportedly sending pictures of his diarrhoea to Roy Keane.

4) Most of Ian Milne, especially the turnstiles being painted.

5) Tommy Oar's 'homesickness'.

6) Four centre backs in the back four

7) £1.7m for Tamas Priskin

8) The Leicester snow game continuing simply because we were 3-0 up

9) Blindfolded penalties

10) Cheerleaders doing an acrobatic routine to a brass band playing Christmas Carols

11) 9 defensive players at home against a Rotherham team without an away point all season

Paul Taylor crying off a game because of a bad tooth and then being photographed drinking a massive Coke on the way home.

-Ívar Ingimarsson

-Playing ALB over Marton Fulop in an East Anglian Derby.

-Our Injuries over the past couple of seasons.

-Giving Keane and Jewell millions to waste on fees and wages, before giving MM almost nothing.

-Signing Paul Taylor for 2 Million whilst passing on George Boyd who was basically being offered BOGOF because he wouldn't sign a new deal.

-Signing Chopra but not signing Billy Sharp.

-The farce January of 2012 window, not being able to sign any of 3 players we wanted from bankrupt Pompey, having Charlie Austin sat in the office and still not getting him. Then signing a Ryan Stevenson for 50k when midfield was the area least needing strengthening.

-Not having a proper RB in the squad for 3 seasons.

Congratulations on being such a miserable fecker. How about 11 highlights:

1. Beating Norwich 3-2 at home in 2009 to all but send them down.
2. Andre Dozzell scoring as a 16-year-old on his debut in 2016.
3. Beating Prem teams WBA and Arsenal at home in the League Cup (2010/11).
4. Connor Wickham's goal from the halfway line vs Sheff Utd in 2011.
5. 2nd in the table and 3-0 up at Brentford after half an hour on Boxing Day 2014.
6. Winning the first five games of the season, 2017-18.
7. Daryl Murphy becoming our highest scorer for 50 years in 2014-15.
8. Bryan Klug returning from Spurs to take over the academy in summer 2012.
9. Watching Cresswell and Mings develop into Premiership players
10. Last minute winners at Charlton and Watford.
11. Approximately 100 fist-pumps from Chambo.

13. Chambers swearing on the telly after the Charlton win.

Yes, of course we can, it just bugs me when our fans talk us down constantly.

We are where we are because football as an industry has changed to the point where we are not sustainable as a competitive football club in the Championship - unless we have a sugar daddy willing to invest £10m-plus a season, just for starters.

You do realise the majority of what you have listed is from Evans early reign before he'd done the damage?

1) We beat Norwich and within a year they were back and have dominated us for a decade without us even beating them
2) A 16 year old scored on his debut, looked great and was then left out for large spells by Mick in favour of proper blokes
3) We beat a West Brom reserve side in a competition they were not fussed about 7 years ago. The win over Arsenal was great but was also 7 years ago. We have barely won a cup tie in two competitions since.
4) Great goal. 6 years ago.
5) That was a fantastic day. We followed that up by failing to back Mick with a few quid and our form for that next 5 months was terrible, almost costing us a play off place when we should have been in with a chance of going up automatically.
6) A good achievement, where we were totally outplayed in 3 of the games, equal with Birmingham and better than Luton. We had 106 shots against us in those 5 games and had 37 of our own and we had a combined possession of 36%. We were unbelievably lucky that 11 out of 14 shots on target went in.
7) A great achievement by Murphy who we then sold for £3m, with no time to replace him and eventually brought in a freebie who never scored a goal for us.
8) Klug coming back is a huge plus.
9) It's nice to have seen them do well, but also tragic that we've had 5-6 players in about 10 years out of probably 200 that have gone on to better things.
10) We've always scored last minute winners. Watford was incredible. Charlton was great but we were pathetic that day.
11) Woop de doo

The 11 best things you could come up with are largely from 7-10 years ago and in almost all cases, anything nice we've had was shortly ruined by the incompetence of Evans and co, like going from 1st to 6th in the second half of 2014-15, writing off a whole season through selling Murphy at the 12th hour and so on.

We don't even need that though.

Other teams will spend £2m on a player that can improve their team, knowing they can then likely sell that player on if needs be and recoup the £2m.

If you buy the right player for £2m, you can end up selling them on for £6m.

Look at Burnley with Andre Gray. Forest with Assomalonga. Evans hasn't quite worked out he could put in more money, make us better and actually recover the same amount or more, with prudence.

I'd be happy if he tried this approach. I don't need him to fund us like Derby. But give the manager something other than scraps. Let him go to League One or League Two and spend £1m on a 23 year old that he thinks can do the business.

The one time he allowed him to do that with Webster (£750k), we were reportedly having teams from the PL sniff round him at £5m, before he got injured.

You think we're a couple of £2m signings a season away? Wow. With respect, I think you're kidding yourself.

Name a decent 23 year old from league 1 or league 2 we could get for £2m who could "do the business".

I would agree if we were debating this in 2010/12. But inflation has turned those £2m steals into £4-5m players in 2018.

That’s not a Rangers thing - there’s been a few clubs do them

The Doncaster Rovers one makes Evans look like a model owner

The idea of a "Banter Era" though, was coined by Arsenal fans and was supposed to describe a time when a lot of total sh6t was nonetheless interspersed with moments of utter brilliance. The Donny one was good fun but missed the point a bit as have some of the others.

Every corner Grant Leadbitter ever took.
Carlos Edwards wanting to rub the fans face in it if they win.
7-0 away to Chelsea.
The Lincoln Humiliation.
Lowest league position in a million years, lowest crowd in a million years.
90m debt and ever rising.
Mick generating IEO 15m in fee income and spending less than 3m in the same period.
Keane signing Healy because he felt bad about him missing out on the World Cup.
Lee Martin.

Ranges fans on twitter do a quite funny thing about what they call The Banter Era chronicling their years out of the Scots top league. Evans is our Banter Era.

Never understood why after the first month of really crap leadbetter corners, we just continued to let him take them.

Likewise with the knudson long throws. Not necessarily his fault but we never had anyone on the end of them.

There are times when the fans see the problem months before the management get it.

Andre Gray who Burnley signed for £6m+, and Britt Assombalonga who cost Forest c£8m you mean???

Yes. The Andre Gray who left for Watford for £18m (three times what they paid) and who scored 20 + goals each season, helping to get Burnley promoted.

Yes. The Assombalonga that would (were it not for injury) have scored 20 + goals each season and given Forest an outside chance at the play offs, who they sold to Boro for something like £12m (a decent profit).

There are plenty of other players. Maddison cost Norwich how much? £2m? £3m? He'll be off for £10m plus in the summer you'd imagine.

Evans could, if he wanted to, have given us a £5m striker that would potentially have been the difference between where we have finished and promotion. The one time we were up there was with a 20 + season striker.

We sold him and didn't even invest what we got to replace him.
