Out with the old, in with the new? 03:40 - Aug 3 with 4933 viewsharlingblue

Paul Hurst cannot have been impressed with the MM team of last year, and nor were we, (supporters that actually went to the games), and he is certainly starting to put his stamp on proceedings.
He has his own game plan, wants existing players to buy into it, or be replaced by young and hungry players within the club, and new hungry players from lower leagues that still have something to prove.
Waghorn, a great success last year, and a person that I have a great respect for, might not fit in with the current set up, as he was a bit like Jim McGilton, would have taken the goalkick as well as the rest.
Sick note players your time is up, you know who you are!, stop draining wages and start earning your pay.

You certainly don't have to be a supporter that actually attended games to appreciate the limitations of MM's sides over the last couple of seasons. Having a semblance of footballing nous guides you to that conclusion.

Don't you remember him? He was that Scottish midfielder who memorably scored a hat trick against Sam Mcallardyce's Bolton.

It's not abuse, it's a differing opinion usually based on facts.

You think it's abuse because it's different to yours and usually makes yours look a bit odd.

No no, same people cant accept a different view. Most have been duped by Evans interview, all are wearing rose tinted glasses. I have an opinion which gets shouted down on here by the same few, the whole idea of a forum is for different views. Some on here cant take that.

I seem to have been marked down on this post? Who actually supported the team during the last few years? It was dire. A new Manager, new players with much to prove, We could go for a top six place, fight off relegation, actually try and win a cup game, try and beat Norwich...that is our new horizon

Happy to accept different views, but not Mystic Meg flights of tealeaf-reading fancy which can never be proved and are therefore pointless.

"Sick note players your time is up, you know who you are!, stop draining wages and start earning your pay."

Some "support" that ...do you think players actually choose to be injured rather than fit and available to play??!

Not to mention your spelling of the legend that is Magilton ...

I'll level with you, things seem somewhat chaotic to me. I've no issue with competition for places throughout but there's a lot of players to keep happy and players who most certainly be happy with just starting in the cup.

Interesting times ahead.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

Hurst has already said he’ll be looking to loan midfielders out IIRC; we’re stacked centrally providing everyone is fit. We’re a bit short elsewhere, though, and we need to increase numbers rather than decrease them.

Like you, it seems.

In respect of the OP, I'd imagine Hurst was pretty impressed to inherit a squad assembled for no money that contained players he's been able to sell for an initial £10m plus potentially rising to over £15m. Inheriting those kinds of players has enabled him to raise cash to make his own signings whilst keeping a core of the previous squad too.

They finished 12th last season, most people agree that Hurst will have done well if we finish that high up again this season.
