Laptop recommendations 07:09 - Dec 1 with 575 viewsnsblu1

Morning all, I’m in need of a new laptop and interested in what experiences and recommendations people have.

I’m terms of use it will be mostly MS Office, web browsing and possibly a save or two of FM, family photos etc I tend to put on an external HD. My last laptop got to the point of becoming so sluggish and impossible to function before slowly dying.

Cheers

Hiya, I got a new Lenovo Yoga S730 quite recently and I love it. Wth an SSD and 16GB RAM and i7 quadcore processor, cost about 900 if I remember, obviously if you need less RAM then you can get it cheaper. Looks great as well, nice screen and sound.

Just before that I'd bought then immediately returned a similar setup from/to PC Specialist. The price was similar (or a bit lower) but the build quality from PC Specialist was appalling - one quarter of the trackpad didn't function, the chassis was too tight to fit anything into the ports on one side of the laptop. Generally looked/felt cheap as well.

We just got a Lenovo Idea Pad 330s

It's super quick as there is no spinning hard drive.
John Lewis is always a good place to buy. Great returns policy.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
