Lambert is currently working on instilling his 'philosophy' and new way of playing throughout the club so they've gone rather against the grain there.

How did they play though? If it was a positive, front foot, quick moving and passing type of performance I'm afraid it won't do. They'll need to learn the first team's 'pass the ball around the back for ages then get it out wide, lose possession then either concede or get the ball back and repeat'.

What were the possession stats for the game. Anything less than 55% is a fail. Scoring is overrated.
