Arf! Imagine the meltdown if we came out with something like that pub wallpaper special nowadays.

Personally I always like to see our away kit in orange or white. Perhaps nostalgia but with the odd pinstripe thrown into the equation

Nice to see something different than the usual orange or white. Be nice if Adidas were ever imaginative with our away kits. Although this season’s was, much like our team, an ugly mess.

I’m quite nice to the orange or white but not adverse to change. Something not done before would be pretty cool. Think most have seen them but some guy on Twitter did some mock up kits. Nice black / charcoal type thing

I liked the humbug kit, the era of loud kits is back in so I'm not saying we'll ever go for colour combinations like this again but don't rule out one that's a bit wilder, especially as an away kit

I haven’t the faintest idea why, but I loved this kit. It just worked.

The best away kit was the 1978 era white shirts, black shorts and socks one.

and the home kit pretty much said "your not fit to wear the shirt" That 1981 tribute really fell on deaf ears with our wastes of space.

All the concept kits I’ve seen on twitter look a thousand times better than the identikit adidas efforts.

Yeah, awful timing for us to s5it the bed again. That said, kit was ruined by not having white shorts.

We wore it for Joe Royle's first match in charge of Manchester City. Kit Symons scored after 5 mins before we staged a second half fight back to win 2-1.

We also won 3-2 at West Brom in it thanks to late goals from Dyer and Cundy.

The first time we wore it was the first game of the 1996-97 season, also against Manchester City. Kevin Horlock scored the only goal for City.

A great and iconic kit, those who besmirch its memory should be ashamed of themselves.

I wish we'd stop changing them every season. It's very damaging to the environment to keep producing new sets of kits. 2-3 years per shirt should be an FA rule, stop milking the kids parents. Shamed that Ipswich joined this.

Pretty sure that the new Chelsea kit is made from recycled bottles. Saying that I’m unsure on how good or bad the kit process is for the environment.
