Nothing wrong with wanting the moon on a stick.
I found the forum interesting. KM is obviously comfortable with the environment and what the club is doing. There seems to be a good balance between the Chairman, CEO and Manager.
I was particularly interested in the comment that a player has to want to play for the club and any sense that they want to be here for other reasons, thanks but no thanks. I love that attitude. You cannot buy hunger and desire. You have it or you don’t.
Ashton is Ashton. Leaving aside the Brentspeak stuff and dinky beard, he does come across as being clear sighted. McKenna comes across well and doesn’t waste words. There will be setbacks and he’s got a lot to learn, but I hope he is supported because he comes across as clear on what he wants and what he is doing. It shows on the pitch.
The academy bit didn’t tell us much. I concluded there’s a limit to what the club can do until we get out of tinpot L1, which I think we all realise.
Overall, the impression I get is that the club is growing again at long last. I’m happy with that. |  | | |
