We have been lucky to win our last two games because we aren’t that good apparently. Watching the highlights enables some armchair expert to conclude that on another day Peterborough would have won. Not what Ferguson said.

They really are a strange, desperate lot.

They're just p!ssed they've blown their lead. If Plymouth and us win on Tuesday, I can't see them getting a top2 place.

I've heard some very weird comments from them, lately..
From, Town are on a 16 game lucky streak,
To " I wouldn't have David Moyes instead of Moore, because he's not good enough"...

It's a downward spiral of madness, by the sounds of it in Sheffield...

The highlights on Sky DEFINITELY have an accurate depiction of how the game panned out yesterday. DEFINITELY.

I agree, although not in the way the poster intended.

"...in fact over the two games we're lucky to get a result."

'Think that's fair. I was told the Ipswich win at Peterborough was comfortable yet Peterborough on another day win that by several goals.

Plymouth definitely concede chances and goals but have so far fired their way back into games.

Still hope that a bad result or two can crop up out of nowhere'

AMAZING.

Two things stand out to take issue with there.

1) Chaplin's been brilliant, but there are other players whose impact you notice/would notice when they're out of the team, namely Walton, Davis, Morsy and Broadhead. The idea that without him we'd struggle as much as they have without Windass is a bit much.

2) On chances created, it wasn't a 3-0 game and we relied on Walton a few times but we were still comfortably the better side. That poster may have just looked at the statistics and concluded that because Peterborough had more shots, they were unlucky not to get a result and ignored the fact that we led the game for 75 minutes so we didn't need to push forward as much as they did.

That thread looks no different to many on here. Someone talks sh*te, other posters tell them they’re posting sh*te and then other posters tell them that they’re talking sh*te.

In short, we’ve not been lucky at all (so the OP was indeed talking sh*te). We’ve blown teams apart with some moments of real quality whilst only conceding 2 goals in the last 2.5 months/13 games. That’s not lucky, that’s class.

Plymouth are better than them anyway.

I posted recently how unrepresentative the Sky highlights are and its giving.... on 20:17 - Apr 23 with 2304 viewsunstableblue

.... other forums the wrong impression

And there you go!

Peterborough highlights particularly bad for that... perhaps the Owl could look at the Posh forum:

'Hard to take much out of todays game as Ipswich were just so much better than us. Morsey and Luongo just bossed everything without breaking sweat.'

Also they didn't show the penalty we should have had!! and just the general dominance!

That score flattered us apparently. Guess they didn't watch the whole game or read the comments of Posh fans who comfirmed how good we were. But he must be right - without Chappers we would be rubbish. Broady, Davis, Cam, Wes, Morsy etc are all rubbish. Very very odd lot!

Chatted to a Plymouth fan in a Cambridge pub today - they are all hoping Wednesday stay down and we go up just to have a laugh and wipe the smug smiles off their faces.

Like all forums there's always a bit of truth:

"Ipswich last Lost on January 21st.

😪😥

Luongu been playing a fair bit 4 them.

Like George Hirst.

They boosted their squad in January.

It paid off. Certs to be promoted."

The Owls remind me of us under MM, when high flying they should have invested again. We did they didn't.

Hopefully like we did under MM, they rue that decision.

It’s not worth spending energy worrying about what other teams are says. Keep the focus and energy channeled on itfc going to Barnsley, playing well and getting a great result.

To be fair, it's just the thread starter and perhaps one or two others who are just obsessively loyal to the point that it blinkers reality. There are plenty on here who'd do exactly the same if the tables were turned.

Scouring other teams' fan sites to find reasons to dislike them even more is similarly obsessive and only worth the energy invested on budgies. imho
