Interesting. But the US aid package for Gaza (forming part of the military aid for Israel) rules out any of it being used by UNWRA, whatever the eventual outcome.
I voted no tonight on the foreign aid package for one simple reason: U.S. taxpayers should not be providing billions more to the extremist Netanyahu government to continue its devastating war against the Palestinian people. pic.twitter.com/WzTtm6ShYb
Mr. Netanyahu, antisemitism is a vile and disgusting form of bigotry that has done unspeakable harm to millions.
Do not insult the intelligence of the American people by attempting to distract us from the immoral and illegal war policies of your extremist and racist government. pic.twitter.com/CnM6oOrHKd

This from the executive director of MSF.
The Israeli ground offensive on Rafah will be utterly devastating, yet no condemnation from @10DowningStreet or @FCDOGovUK
What is the UK government doing to avoid being complicit in this mass killing of Palestinians, dying in their thousands from violence and disease? https://t.co/eKnUnCX44O

This, of course, is on the back of an attempt to create a narrative that a realistic deal is on the table and that it is Hamas being unreasonable and refusing it.
The deal, it appears, is that Hamas give up everything and in return the Israeli's promise to stop for a couple of weeks before continuing to raze Gaza and take over permanently. Not sure what's in it for hte people of Gaza.

'According to Reuters news agency, the Israeli satellite service Yes displayed a message that read: "In accordance with the government decision, the Al Jazeera station's broadcasts have been stopped in Israel."...The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) said they had filed a request to the country's Supreme Court to issue an interim order to overturn the ban.
The group said that claims that the broadcaster was a propaganda tool for Hamas were "unfounded", and that Sunday's ban was less about security concerns and more to "serve a more politically motivated agenda, aimed at silencing critical voices and targeting Arab media".
The Foreign Press Association (FPA) urged the Israeli government to reconsider its decision, saying the shut down of Al Jazeera in the country should be "a cause for concern for all supporters of a free press".'

Israel saying proposal is not acceptable.
Was about to say - the hardliners in the Israeli government will see Hamas agreeing to the ceasefire as a sign that the Rafah invasion would cause real damage to them, so won't want to back off.
Now the question is how much pressure will be applied by the wider public and the US.
