A lot of fans can never agree because they dont know or choose to ignore the rules.
By the letter of the law that is a foul and a yellow card offence. Referee was correct and nothing really to dispute here.

I think the game would be better if referees were instructed to penalise certain types of fouls regularly e.g. the tactical foul to prevent a dangerous attack, all shirt pulling & most holding offences & delaying of free kicks. While there would be a rash of yellow & red cards at first, ultimately players would change their behaviour & the game would be a more attractive spectacle.
