Interesting he's been given another shot there following his career since he left.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

Nearly the full set. Obviously Keane never managed again. Magilton managed 6 months at QPR before working with the Irish FA and clubs over there.

Magic is now manager at Cliftonville and doing well in the NI premier league 👍

Got just about everything wrong here in terms of man management it seems. Allowed our better players to go ( or were they sold from under him?), put too much faith in League One players to all make the step up at once etc. On the wrong side of some fine margins in several early games, threw players under the bus post Exeter, abandoned playing principles for Norwich game - bringing in loans like Walters, Jordan Graham, Pennington and dropping Bart. Pure disaster.

Cook’s signings helped pave the way for what was to come so he certainly deserves some respect for that. Sad though his firing was for him, it was genuinely exciting that the owners acted so quickly. A clear and refreshing sign they weren’t here to fk around and actually meant business.

Never liked Cook. The way he ran out before the team just made me cringe. Wasn't shy in blaming anyone and everyone but himself.
As for Keane...

Nope.

Ashton when they were duds, Cook's when they were studs and it's got worse with hindsight.

At best you're making the Milburn / Youth academy argument there. And both require huge dashes of hindsight and "all's well" type thinking.

He was another abject failure who wasted a decent shot at promotion and massive advantages, living off being an everyman instead of doing his job. The fact we have someone so good now shouldn't mean fans should look back fondly on any of the Pauls.

Didn't Jewell do something at Bradford too, like director or something?

Certainly ‘did’ something at Derby….and it wasn’t Mrs Jewell.
Some porn bondage video with a lady of alleged ill-repute.
Dreadful manager and I’ll never forgive him for that pathetic tactical nothing at Arsenal in the second leg of the semi.

Just feels a strange new name. Be weird if you knew him and were used to calling him Paul and now have to call him Shrewsbury.

You’re being harsh on Cookie methinks. The fact he’s the only one still employed as a manager says a lot.

My ex is an ardent fan - he's known as the snake so fair to say pretty unpopular with their fans.

Christ, no wonder he's your ex.
