With Sunak the most unpopular PM of all time too

Crap as he is, it's pretty mad that he has ratings than Truss isn't it?

Imagine if truss was still in charge. There would be no one to ask to vote. Wait for reform to overtake them in the poll and they might just get the hint.

In part it's just time, isn't it? The levels of vitriol Paul Lambert (or even Mick McCarthy) got exceeded Paul Hurst quite considerably, but the latter probably did the bulk of the damage.

I think the Tories have underestimated just how much damage they've done to themselves dragging this out.

This is because the Conservative Party is now dominated by far right extremist's, so the only MP's who are considered for ministerial post have to also be far right as well, this has limited who is available for the cabinet posts. All the decent Tories have been left on the back bench's.

Yeah it's a classic cumulative effect. This is the problem with always linking poll performance with the leader - a cloned Gandhi or John Lennon could be in charge, folk are still fed up anyway after so long. Why it's often a mistake to think just changing leader -again- will make a difference.

To an extent, although a good number were booted out by Johnson/Cummings and plenty of others left of their own accord.

There are the odd sane one in the cabinet (Hunt leaps to mind) but they’ve all accepted the Faustian pact of nodding along with the lunatics

Not sure anyone who works in the NHS would describe Hunt as sane. His little jaunt as Health Secretary is the reason why its on it's knees now.

They should be over the moon. Maybe hold a party at No 10 - they’re good at those.

It’s 15% more than the percentage of people they represent and care about so they’re doing well.

Seriously, they should have sought a coalition during the pandemic (though that of course would have exposed their trouser filling schemes) then called an election. If not then, certainly when Johnson was booted out.

They’re clinging on like the brown stuff to a cows rear end.

I wonder if the Tories might delay or cancel the election by declaring some sort of state of emergency. I wouldn’t put it past them - they’ve tried it on with the constitution before.

Rhyming-Slang isn't sane. He's an incompetent sociopathic dimwit who's better at masking it than those around him.

The one thing I don't get is how he can post the worst ratings of all time for PM.

He is poor but nothing like as bad or damaging to the country as Johnson, Cameron or Truss. I suppose the last two were both out of post before a poll could be taken on them. I suppose the other thing that plays into it is that there are a lot on the right of the Conservatives who would still be happy with Johnson and Truss but are not with Sunak.

That's quite probable (0 mps with 13%) - UKIP won 1 mp with 13% in 2015 - but if, as suggested, Reform get more votes than the Tories, that suddenly changes the picture.

I think your last point explains it. Take a look at the Telegraph on any given day and you'll see that half
the Tory members and voters must consider the current Tory party to be run by blue socialists. They're stark raving.

I don't honestly believe any party is worth voting for. Politics is in the gutter. This whole situation where one Party is trying to get one over on the other. Uncovering of things such as Rayner's Council House selling. Really what does it matter in the grand scheme of things. Blair made millions sending troups to Iran under false pretences. He owns several houses in London worth millions and has a Company that pays less tax than a pensioner with a small income on top of his State Pension. Cameron tried to get a Company he "worked" for bailed out by the Government after getting 1.5 million out of them. Johnson ended up with three jobs after getting kicked out of the PM's role and after years of austerity under Chancellor Osborne he ended up with a nice little earner. Hancock was about as useful as a one legged man in an ar*e kicking competition and oversaw the wasted billions on PPE. Now we are paying for it with higher taxes. That's without the scandal of the Sub Postmasters where 100 million was spent covering it up. As for Starmer and the spice girls, are they, or will the be any better ? I've had years of whatever Party telling me how wonderful things will be under them. Don't kid yourself. They only want to be in power to promote themselves and go on to a nice little earner afterwards. Don't know if you are aware, but when a PM looses that status they are entitled to an allowance of £115,000 a year. Truss must be laughing all the way to the bank after two months in the job.
