Not a chance, would cost a fortune and they'll be on big money.

Utter bull**** mate. If we even got one of them, it would be our marquee signing and a stretch on our resources.

Definitely.

I heard we were going to spend 60m on these two and then try and grab Philips for 40m.

Bargains I would say.

You've been speaking to wkj's mate up the pole again, haven't you?

If so, she's usually on the money - or close to it anyway. Could be legs in this.

Unfortunately the Nketiah rumour does have legs. It was mentioned by a guy 'Team news and ticks' on Twitter, who is VERY well connected at Arsenal. I know him personally from uni. He's someone who gets line-ups, transfer speculation first on Arsenal.

I'm with you though, I'd be a tad underwhelmed if he was to be the competition for Hirst.

Yeah, I've seen him crop up several times on Insta and Twitter, so know he's fairly well connected.

Let’s not forget though that half the fan base were underwhelmed about signing George Hirst in League one. That worked out alright in the end.

I'd say that this transfer window is going to be the most chill ever, for two reasons.

1. Plenty of suitable upcoming talent will want to come here to work under McKenna.
2. We have adequate funding and FFP headroom.
3. McKenna, to coin a phrase, knows exactly what we need and you can bet your arse will make the right choices.

That's three, but ho-hum.

Underwhelmed by a player who made their England debut last year!
Who are you hoping to sign?

We do have a downside though, in that everyone and his dog will expect us to go down. We shouldn't underplay that fact when trying to attract players to come here.

It's why I feel we'll be dipping into high end champ players pool more than these ready made prem players. Our best chance, like with Omari is getting some of this talent on loan.

I think it very likely we will spend a few tens of millions but not £60m on just two players. They have to be paid too.

ESR is definitely not with in range. Nketiah feels like the sort of player McKenna improves.

His progress with Arsenal has been gradually managed, and didn't they once put an £18m price tag on the player before he was even established in their first team squad. It would be more now.
His wages alone would destroy our structure, and I doubt that they would loan him out again.

Unrealistic unless somebody at the top has decided that we need a Forest type revolution and such a massive investment as the way forward.

We couldn't do a Forest even if we wanted to.

PSR rules won't work in our favour when we have a season of league 1 on our record.
