Can anyone clarify something for me as I couldn't find a definitive answer

Could the previous owner put sheff wed into liquidation if he refused the administrators offer as a creditor who's owed a rather large amount.

a niche perspective

I would - their fanbase is toxic
I'd say Marcus Evans with Russell Martin as manager - perfect combo

If he did, he’d have to go about ownership completely different to how he went about it here!

By putting it into administration*, Chansiri has already relinquished control. It is now entirely up to the appointed Administrators to either find a buyer, or, if they can't, to wind the business up in a manner to return the maximum amount to the creditors (which, in football, come in a strict order with unsecured lenders - i.e. the owner - pretty much at the bottom).

What's in it for Chansiri? Little more than no further ongoing expenses and protection from SheffWeds' debts to others. He will lose most of the money he's put in.

* Edit: Administration, not liquidation. Brain fade.

I think the answer is no as it’s up to the administrator to determine the terms of any sale and creditor repayment

If a creditor feels they haven’t got the best deal they can appeal and potentially claim against the administrator

This.

He’s had his fingers burnt with us, he’s not going to do it again when the game’s moved even further on financially.

Too tired at the moment to do the due diligence answer but off the top of my head I would say that would only be the case in a Creditors Voluntary Arrangement, as stated in other posts it is the administrator's call now (although they have to be seen to act according to the law and with a consideration for all interests.)

A bigger concern for me would be Chansiri managing to control a bidder without it being traceable and thus retaining influence.

If anything, he’ll buy a non-league team cheaply, hope that they achieve quick promotions and sell for a profit. Would have made sense twenty years ago but now even being ultra ambitious at that level with be expensive.

I very much doubt that he will get involved in a club again - he must regularly think about all the mistakes he and his team made here.
