I appreciate that some fans see us chuck 17mil at a player and expect results immediately, but this was always one to wait on.
Every game he plays he is getting better, he is getting used to the league and how we play.
If you compare egeli to where omari was in his first season, you would have to say egeli is doing more, and we all know how good omari ended up being.

I am excited by him, and super pleased he got that early assist as it's great for confidence (as well as the lead).
Many of his passes don't quite make the mark. That's not a bad thing, he's learning other players, the pace, and other teams. But there's genuine vision and excitement in his game I can't remember another town player having for a long time: the unexpected switch, the flick over, the turn and run. He has a mix and for a defender that's a nightmare as you can't predict.
About 60% of his interesting passes are just going too long or not quite landing, but he's a few inches away each time and by christmas I think they will be hitting their mark on the regular and will become the important player for the final push. |  | | |
