Is he a possibility to go after should MM go in the summer? Or are even Preston now are more attractive proposition than us??

"Even" Preston?

They're probably the most under-rated club in the Champ.

We embarrassed ourselves courting Hugil from them when we had no chance, I don't think I could take the same with Grayson.

Preston probably are a more attractive proposition, yes. Any manager in a stable job like that would not want to risk it by coming to us under our restrictions.

I'm not sure I'd be that desperate to go all out to get him.

He is a very underrated manager who has decent pedigree in this league, but I suspect he would feel a little uncomfortable being this far south, given how Northern he is.

He's got a good thing going up there and we could do with looking for something different than a 'steady' championship manager which is what we've done with the last 2 appointments

Preston seem like a club on the up once again. Grayson has done a terrific job at Deepdale and has done it steadily. Although he would be a good managerial option, I have little doubt that Preston would want to keep him. We're not great at pursuing our targets and being successful, especially with ME's involvement.

I think Grayson has well and truly shut that particular door, to be honest.
