about how fans are likely desperate for change but at the moment it ain't gonna happen.

This sums up the contempt for us as fans and a club. At least when he knew it was toxic and pointless to continue PJ did the graceful thing and left.

The difference there was that Jewell and the club were staring down the barrel after almost a third of the season.

Currently we're doing just OK. And it's the boredom of that with little hope it's going to change that is the frustration.

In other words, at the moment, change would be nice to have but not a necessity.

With the resources available yes. He didn't say doing amazing. We're not in a relegation battle and despise people saying we will end up in one we almost certainly won't. He's right, it's just boring, nothing more, nothing less.

Or it's a realistic assessment that, with the players available (also those who aren"t) and the budget he's been given, not much change is likely.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Honestly Guffers, I genuinely wish that people would subject things that politicians, newspapers, celebrities, etc say to the same level of analysis that they do to bland utterances by a football manager.

If they DID there's a slim chance the country might not be quite as f*cked as it is.

Yes. Where we are is the very definition of doing OK but nothing more.

And re: our recent poor results, one thing that's happened throughout Mick's tenure is we've never had a bad run for any length of time (nor a great one bar November/December 2014).
