No Paul, it was not good enough - we lost, again. We cannot keep losing and saying we did really well, tried hard. It is points we need, not effort! If the effort doesn’t bring results then it’s time for a change, for someone to coach and manage these players so that effort is translated into victories.

What ever way you look at that club statement, it is at odds with Lambert's narrative of 'Can't ask for more'. Mix that in with the Chambers interview. It's an absolute mess and even if a Cook or a Cowley were available, what makes us think that they would work at such a basket case of a club. |  |

I think we’re still attractive - we are still a well known club that most would think should be in the championship at least. I do think there’s still a bit of cache to managing Ipswich Town - the club that gave England her two best managers.
Plus there is the fact that amidst an average squad we do actually have some decent players - Dozell and Downes were both in a very good young England team, plus Wolf and a few other have reportedly interested prem and championship clubs. So there is potential to coach and improve the players and so get us to a level of performance and consistency we all hope for. | |
