Underrated Britpop songs on 12:27 - Feb 16 by Steve_M
Not one of their great songs but I always liked this.
Pulp - Something Changed.
Strange that walking to my parents' last night, I had the Pulp - Different Class album on. This track came on, and the lyrics are spot on personally about me and my other half. To think I wasn't going to go out the night I met him, and he wasn't too bothered about going out either... we both did thankfully and getting married next May! This would be the perfect "our song" and he agrees!
Awesome band - had the pleasure seeing them live a few times in the early 90s, and they always put on an amazing show.
The one that sticks out in my mind is the gig at Colchester Arts Centre - the "stage" was so small that the crowd had to move back so that Ollie the Cello player could sit at the front and play!
Mornington Crescent is one of the best albums ever and still sounds great now!

Never had the pleasure of seeing them live. MLS are one of the few bands that I have bothered to buy everything they released, including the exile inside albums which are pretty good too. Jake's a legend - deserved more recognition really.

It's good, but the entire album is overshadowed by the intro to Shine On:
I'll grant you that intro is superb, but Shine On wouldn't necessarily fall in the 'underrated' category for me, which is why I picked The Beatles and the Stones.
Having said that, they were hugely underrated as a band, in my opinion.
