That is absolute nonsense ! There was no £75m salted away. Talk of profits on transfers are absolute nonsense as well as they were undisclosed fees.
What is know is that during Redknapp's tenure the club wracked up huge debts, the wages spiralled way beyond what they could afford and various agents were paid £9m.. a huge sum for those times.
Bad luck, coincidence, perhaps ? Were not pretty much the same pattern to have happened at Bournemouth, West Ham and Southampton.
Why not have a read of Tom Bower's book Broken Dreams which deals with corruption and agents in football. It as good as names Harry Redknapp a crook, and notes that he was known as 'readies Redknapp.
Oddly enough, he never challenged any of those allegations or even sued. I wonder why. |  | | |

While I agree with what you're saying, there has to be someone above his pay grade controlling the purse strings and not allowing him to spend that money. That's who's really accountable. Harry's a cockney wheeler dealer football manager who got them to 7th in the Prem and won the FA cup. That's all he was bothered about. Not saying he shouldn't have had some awareness but someone should've kept him in budget. |  |
